Eliminate All The Distractions {Part 2 of 3}
Dear Darling,
Can you believe we’re just days away from 2017? Time sure flies when you're having fun!
2016 may not have been everything you hoped for so how's this year ending for you? Are you feeling guilty or are you choosing to let go of the guilt and tackle 2017 full force?
I too have felt the overwhelming guilt of ending a year poorly but you don’t have to be disappointed next December. You'll need a lot of hope to turn things around but believe you’re capable of something big!
Most people dreams aren’t delayed, they're just distracted.
Has that been a problem for you this year? In the past, that's been true for me but once you're on track you become unstoppable!
If you re-call, in my last email I shared that a life full of big expectation leads to preparation but as you prepare it can be easy to get off track and start heading the wrong direction. It might just be because you're distracted.
Maybe you have shining object syndrome and started too many things at once, you could be putting to much energy into something that isn't helping grow your business, you may not have a clear road map, your distracted by comparing yourself to others, or it might simply be that you're watching too much Netflix.
You have the choice to eliminate the distractions.
It’s normal to make mistakes and take a wrong turn or two (or ten).
It’s part of getting to your final destination but there will come a time when you'll need to begin eliminating distractions so you can focus on getting to where you want to go.
It’s just like my sister-in-law who is about to give birth next month to my very first nephew! When she wasn’t expecting she did as she pleased but now she has to take care of her body in a way that will be beneficial for our sweet Shiloh.
When a woman is pregnant we say she’s expecting. As part of her expecting, she has to eliminate certain things to protect her child. She stops drinking, smoking, eating certain foods. It becomes all about taking care of the miracle of life within her.
If you’re expecting big things from your business, you must do the same. You have to eliminate distractions and what doesn’t serve your mission.
I’ve eliminated friendships that weren’t uplifting or didn’t care about my success. I’ve eliminated the negative mindset that caused talking down to myself and even poisoned some of my relationships. And I’ve eliminated bad habits that distracted me from achieving daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
I still work on eliminating some of these things daily.
Some weeks they get the best of me but I don’t give up. I don’t want you to either.
Start seeing your business as your baby and eliminate the things that are going to hurt the well being of your sweet business! It’s successful life counts on it.
What will you eliminate in 2017?
Lots of love,
