Want To Be A Success Story?
Dear Darling,
Have you ever asked yourself why some people succeed and others don't even when they have the same socioeconomic status, education, talent, and skill level? Have you noticed that some people who have great resources don't ever achieve great levels of personal-development and others, who aren't as fortunate, do and succeed.
On Monday, while doing content creation, I'd gathered great material for Module 1 of RESILIENCE but there was a section that didn't seem quite right. I'd started working on a list of what you gain as a resilient entrepreneur and what started out as five points turned into The 22 Benefits of Resilience.
I can't take all the credit for this list, my dad, who has been a pastor, teacher, and life coach for over 37 years helped develop this. (Can you tell coaching is in my blood?)
The more we talked about what being resilient truly means the more we understood how great the benefits are. And, as a result, the list started getting longer and longer.
As an entrepreneur with crazy big dreams, I've needed a big does of resilience to get to where I've wanted (and still want) to go. Developing a resilient mindset is truly the secret sauce to success.
Truth be told, this list is pretty extraordinary! I'm ecstatic to give you a sneak peek to three of my favorite points…
COMFORT-ZONE
You no longer live within your comfort-zone. When you start getting comfortable, you quickly get out of it, even if it means taking a leap of faith, because you know that you only grow when you're outside of your comfort-zone.
"Change is inevitable. Growth is optional." – John Maxwell
VISIONARY
You see beyond your limitations. You're not afraid to dream the impossible because you know it can be your reality regardless of your resources.
"The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision." – Helen Keller
MAXIMIZER
You accomplish much from nothing. You've learned to strategically administrate and take advantage of the limited resources around you to achieve your goals.
"Obstacles, of course, are developmentally necessary: they teach kids strategy, patience, critical thinking, resilience and resourcefulness." – Naomi Wolf
You might be feeling overwhelmed by the magnitude of your dreams or stuck trying to overcome a hurdle in your business. Whatever it is, let it go.
I'm challenging you today – what can you do this week to start developing resilience in both your personal life and business?
Do you need to launch your website, finish the copy on your about page, get visible on social media, or maybe you finally need to invest in a business building program?
When you do it, you're one step closer to reaping the reward of your desired success!
