Table For One!
Dear Darling Beth,
Happy hump day!
When I was a little girl, I used to feel sorry for the people who ate alone at restaurants. I’ve always loved being around people and getting to know others so it broke my heart to see people on their own without good company during lunch or dinner.
Earlier this year I came across this quote…
“I know what I bring to the table…so trust me when I say I’m not afraid to eat alone.”
...and it spoke to me so much! This is a little embarrassing to admit, but for a long time I hated going to cafes or restaurants without my husband because I didn’t like being on my own. After reading this quote, it hit me, “Who cares?! I know what I bring to the table!” If I was willing to take the leap and start my own business, then I could happily eat alone.
As I sit at a cute coffee shop in town, I’m reminded that at one point I was afraid to do this sort of thing. But when you start your own business you have to have the guts to do things that make you uncomfortable. The more you do them, the easier it becomes and you might just realize that you actually love eating on your own.
Today, I encourage you to do that one thing you’ve been avoiding. You know what I'm talking about!
I know you can, darling!
To facing the uncomfortable,
P.S. I've made some updates to my site and it's finally ready for your eyes! Check it out here and let me know what you think!! And a little shout out to my amazing photographer Amanda Julca who took all the beautiful images on my site!
