Entrepreneurship Isn't Always Glamorous!
Hi Darling,
For the last two weeks I've been traveling! First stop was London with my best friend and then I was off to Lisbon with my sweet husband. It's been a dream buuut my business is also my dream and I plan on making it a lasting success, whatever it takes!
Taking time off doesn't come without hard (and smart) work.
I prep for my time off and make sure everything's in order before I jet-off somewhere (I work best when I'm under pressure or need to meet a deadline!). Or, a lot of the time, I take my work with me.
The harsh reality is that I don't always look like the pictures in this email because entrepreneurship isn't always very glamorous!
You'll typically find me in a top-bun, comfy shirt, black leggings, and my woolly UGG slippers.
But, don't get me wrong, I'm all about balance and self-care because it makes a huge difference to your sanity and success! (Seriously, your sanity is way more important than you realize!) But there are times where you have to order in food, work on a Sunday, and even stay up late working until eventually you realize the sun has come up.
I don't encourage this as an every night kind of activity!
But, as the CEO of your business, you've got to be willing to sacrifice much to gain even more!
When I got back home from travels I was challenged by a though.
"I'm so lucky to be able to travel with my husband while we both do work we adore! I need to make sure I take advantage of this time and enjoy it just in case this freedom ever goes away."
I immediately laughed at myself for thinking that!
The old wiring in my mind wanted to take me back to a past belief – when I thought my business could fail or I'd have to go back to a 9-5. (You'll never see me doing that!)
Instead (thanks to the rewiring I've done), I remembered that this is my FOREVER reality!
This is my business, my life. I call the shots. Even if it means choosing to staying up late every now an then! My dreams are more than worth it!
Are yours?
Business is about to pick up,
P.S. Running your own business can feel exhausting at times but it's well worth it in the long run! Chin up and don't give up!
